Masking Update

April 2023- In accordance with recent CDC recommendations, and the low incidence of COVID19 in the community at present, OFD will be relaxing its masking policy for staff and patients. Please review the following guidelines:

  • Healthy Patients are now free to choose whether to wear a mask or not during their visit at Our Family Doctor.
  • A patient should not enter the building if they have a fever, or have tested positive for flu or COVID19. In these cases, we ask that patients call to arrange for a Telehealth visit with their provider if necessary.
  • We ask that all patients wear a mask while inside the building if they are experiencing any respiratory or allergy symptoms (including runny nose, nasal/sinus congestion, ear pain, cough or watery/itchy eyes).
  • Should a patient prefer to have their medical assistant, phlebotomist and/or physician wear a mask during their time with them, they may ask for this, and the clinical team will honor this request.
  • Similarly, if a medical assistant or physician determines that based on a patient’s symptoms that they should wear a mask while in the building, they will provide the patient with a mask. We ask that our patients honor this request should it be deemed clinically appropriate.
  • Please be advised that should the community incidence of COVID19 increase significantly, Our Family Doctor reserves the right to revert back to a mandatory masking policy for all patients and staff while in the building to keep our patients and staff safe.
