Our Family Doctor is conveniently located at 43 Oakland Road, two blocks west of Victoria Rd. near the Mission/St. Joseph’s Hospital campus and AB Tech. To schedule an appointment, please contact us at (828) 252-2511, option # 1 on the main menu
General Office Hours: We are open Monday- Wednesday 8:00am-6:00pm, Thursday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (lobby opens at 7:50am on most days). Our Lab is open from 8am- 3:30 Monday- Friday. If you contact our office after business hours, you will be able to connect with the on-call provider through our call service line. This call service phone # is stated on our phone message after 5:00pm.
Evening/Weekend After Hours Clinics: THERE WILL BE NO LATE EVENING AND WEEKEND CLINICS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. In addition to our general office hours, we also offer an Extended Hours clinic, tailored to your busy lifestyle. If you are an established patient with Our Family Doctor, you can schedule an appointment on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5:00pm –6:00pm. During this time if you need to speak with a doctor on call for a non-urgent concern, please try back after clinic hours are over. You will then be able to connect with the on call doctor by phone.
Direct Provider Communication After Hours: While we are all not always able to communicate during business hours, we encourage you to send a portal email message through www.followmyhealth.com. This is for direct access to your doctor, and not a substitute for communicating with our on-call doctor by phone (as noted below). Login to your portal account, go to Inbox, then compose your message to the doctor. This will allow you to ask a question about a clinical concern, lab results, or medication refill. You will receive a portal email response from the doctor within 24 business hours. Our doctors will always strive to respond during the same evening hours, prioritizing urgencies and depending on the time the original portal message was initiated. After your portal email has been sent to the doctor and if your concern becomes more urgent, please contact the on-call doctor by phone as noted below.
After Hours and Emergencies: If you believe you are experiencing a medical condition that is critical or life-threatening, please call EMS at 911. If you have an urgent issue that needs immediate attention you can connect with the on-call doctor at (828) 229-7227.
