Michael Weizman, MD

Dr. Weizman is one of the most passionate and energetic doctors in Asheville, NC, not only to his patients but his life as well. A graduate of Temple University School of Medicine, he completed his family practice residency in Renton, WA, just outside of Seattle. While completing his residency, and while serving as chief resident, Dr. Weizman volunteered to serve externships in Swaziland, Africa and Kotzebue, Alaska; experiences that have left a lasting impression on him.

In 2001, after his residency, Dr. Weizman and his wife (also an Asheville Doctor) relocated to Asheville where he joined Ravenscroft Family Health Center. After 10 years with that practice, Dr. Weizman co-founded Our Family Doctor with Dr. Polansky in 2011. Dr. Weizman and his wife have two delightful daughters, who they love exploring the great outdoors with.

Dr. Weizman has special interest and experience in Pediatrics, Travel Medicine, Behavioral Medicine and Practice Management. He also enjoys collaborating with the many complementary healers in our community toward the goal of providing holistic care to his patients. In addition to medical expertise in Family Medicine, Dr. Weizman brings extensive leadership skills to bear at both Our Family Doctor and in the Asheville community. Over the years he has served on a number of non-profit boards in the community.
