Jodi Schwab, MD

As a competitive swimmer at the University of Kentucky (and an SEC post graduate scholarship recipient), Dr. Jodi Schwab knows all too well the value of hard work. Jodi joined Ravenscroft Family Health Center right out of residency in 2002, where she brought that determination to work every day.

After graduating from the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine in 1999, her love of outdoor recreation and live music lured Dr. Schwab to Asheville to complete her residency at the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) where she served as chief resident. Dr. Schwab is a huge proponent for prevention and encourages better health through exercise, dietary modification, and non pharmaceutical treatments whenever possible.

When she is not spending time with patients, chances are you can find Jodi with her daughter, out at a show, or outdoors where she loves whitewater kayaking, snowboarding, mountain biking, and running. Dr. Schwab joined the Our Family Doctor team at its inception in 2011.
