Kyle Knowlson, MD

Dr. Knowlson grew up in rural Southern Illinois and was attracted to North Carolina by the beautiful climate, great cities and ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. He took a bit of a roundabout path to medicine by completing engineering graduate school at NCSU and then working in the 3D printing field for 7 years before changing course into medicine.
He attended UNC Chapel Hill for medical school and completed his residency at MAHEC in 2015. He is coming to Our Family Doctor after spending almost 5 years on the teaching faculty at MAHEC.
He and his wife Lauren love living, working and playing in Asheville and Western North Carolina with their 2 young children.
