Mission Employees/Aetna Insurance – Updated In Network for 2026

Updated 10/23/25 Mission/HCA has confirmed that our patients will now be considered in network for 2026:

Dear Our Family Doctor,  We’re pleased to share that, after two months of communication with the Mission Health Employee Benefits plan administrator, MHP has successfully advocated for your group’s in-network status for 2026.  We understand how important this decision is to you. We are driven by the shared belief that this is the right thing to do for our employees and your practices, regardless of your decision to exit the Clinically Integrated Network.

We believe this decision will enable us to:

Minimize disruption within our community

Maintain continuity of care between patients and physicians

Promote goodwill and collaboration among Mission Health, MHP, and independent practices

Please review the following message from Greg Lowe, which will be distributed to all Mission employees today.

Warm regards,

Gerard Filicko, Regional VP

Karen Roby, Senior Director

**If you no longer have or will not have Mission/HCA health insurance (Aetna/HCA)

as of Jan 1, 2026, please disregard this message**

Dear OFD Patient,

We would like to inform you that Our Family Doctor has decided to no longer participate in the Mission Health Partners ACO program for the co-management of our Medicaid patients. As of December 31, 2025, the years-long collaborative relationship between our practice and Mission Health Partners (MHP) will come to an end.

Unfortunately, because of this fact, Our Family Doctor will be considered “out of network” for all Mission employees as of January 1st, 2026. While we would love to continue serving as your primary care physician, your co-pay or other service payments due will increase with this change. Please check with your benefits supervisor to determine how this change will impact your office visit rates at Our Family Doctor.

If you should decide to transfer care to a different “in-network” provider, naturally Our Family Doctor will do all that we can to support you in that transition.

You may want to take the opportunity to speak internally with the corporate team to see if they are considering this change, and how it will affect their staff. Many employees may need to change their health care providers with limited primary care availability in our area.

Wishing you good health,

Dr. Michael Weizman

Aetna SHP 2026- Preferred Provider

With the Clear Pricing Project (CPP) ending 12/31/25, please note that we are considered a PREFERRED PROVIDER with Aetna SHP for 2026 and forward. You will not have any issues seeing our doctors within the network. During enrollment, make sure to CHOOSE your OFD current provider as your PCP (or it may already appear for you) to continue with the covered care at our practice.

OFD Front Entrance

OFD Family, After receiving requests from many of our older patients for years now, I am happy to report that we finally were able to improve the entrance to our building making it safer for all of our patients. We now have safety handrails along the length of our entrance ramp.

I would like to give a shout-out to the local company, Asheville Welding, for designing, fabricating and installing our new handrails. They are a great company to work with!

May these rails provide safety for our patients for many years to come.

Wishing you all a wonderful Fall weekend.  MW
